OR's projects are realised through collaboration with those rooted in the land and those who steward its spirituality together with us.
Here, we record the partners now walking with OR.
Guji (Chief Priest) Ietaka Kuki
Chief supervisor of the KUMANO XR Project. As Guji of Hongū, central to over a millennium of Kumano belief, he guides the very form of this project. From historical verification of the twelve shrine halls we revive in XR, to the dedication-fee scheme, to regional contribution design — every stage advances in consultation with him.
Chair Toshiko Tada
Chair Ichizō Nabuchi
The organisation at the heart of Hongū's tourism and local economy. They provide local-DMO guest-flow coordination, introductions to the regional business network, and on-the-ground operational coordination in Hongū.
Department of Commerce & Tourism / Mayor Mitsutoshi Masago
The municipality with jurisdiction over Hongū-chō. We provide regular project reports and receive continuous policy guidance. A partner in our consideration of the World Heritage landscape, dialogue with the local community, and alignment with long-term town-making.
Kitayama Village, Wakayama
The producer in Kitayama Village supplying the core ingredient for the Jabara Shrine "Cup of Resurrection." Through direct partnership, we secure stable supply of the rare citrus jabara — which grows wild in only this region of the world — and ensure fair returns to producers.
Sanjusan Bank — Shingū & Katsuura Branches / Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation — Trunk NORTH Branch
Partnering with a regional bank that sustains Kumano's local economy and a city bank that supports Tokyo's startup finance. We are equipped with financing scaled to growth, and a financial foundation that reaches both the local and the global.
OR's circle of collaboration will keep opening.
Allies at home and abroad, scholars of cultural anthropology and religion, international media, creators — together with these comrades in translation, we will nurture the four lights.
